Welcome

If you're passing through, you're not an interruption.

If you live in the area or are vacationing in Ontonagon, we are honored you have chosen to consider Ontonagon Baptist Church as a place of worship. We stand upon the Word of God and believe it holds all the answers for life here and hereafter.

Sometimes our lives and the world around us can seem hopeless, but at Ontonagon Baptist Church we endeavor to spread the truth that lasts forever. This hope can only be found in Jesus Christ, through the grace, redemption, and love he freely gives.

It is our fervent desire that you experience salvation and redemption in Christ for yourself, and grow in your daily walk with Him. Come join us on Sundays and Wednesdays as we study God's Word and seek to glorify God together.

Your first Sunday

Nobody walks in knowing what to do the first time.

So here is the whole of it, in advance, with nothing held back.

  • 01

You can come as you are

Some wear a tie, most don't. Nobody will look twice at what you drove up in or what you're wearing. Come sit down.

  • 02

    About an hour and fifteen

Morning worship runs a little over an hour. Singing from the hymnal, prayer, an offering you are not expected to give to, and preaching.

  • 03

    Your kids stay with you

There's no separate program during the worship hour, and no one minds the noise. Sunday School at 9:45 has classes by age.

  • 04

We will not single you out

You won't be asked to stand, introduce yourself, or fill anything out. If you'd like to talk afterward, the pastor will be at the back.

A church where children are not an inconvenience

Emerald Crossing wrapped up for 2026, and we will announce next summer's week here first. In the meantime, Sunday School at 9:45 has a class for every age, and no one minds a noisy pew during worship.

2026 — now finished

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
